Gentryportofino, La Tenda Milano of Via Solferino in Milan and the artist Gloria Campriani intertwine, generating a synergic collaboration in which art, fashion and music merge in an original performance.
During Design Week, La Tenda Milano, a prestigious boutique in Via Solferino 10, will be transformed into the container and setting for an artistic installation entitled 'Materiche Armonie' (Material Harmonies).
Gloria Campriani's works will float inside the shop window, suspended in a net that will also include the mannequins, extending further into the urban outdoor space. The points of chromatic irradiation will be the common theme of this intervention that brings into the net all the subjects of the environment, an environment to be protected in the fragility of its beauty and its balances. The installation, curated by architect Stefano Longoni, is a new chapter in the La Tenda Experience format. Conceived for Expo 2015, it is a catalyst of contemporary artistic visions that reveals itself in the shop window in Via Solferino, a place where new interpretative synergies are created, finding their natural setting in the display space.
Vittorio Longoni, owner of La Tenda says: "Thanks to the well-established bond with Giambattista and Mirta, it was easy to create a new chapter of the La Tenda Experience."
Gabriella Anedi, founder and art curator of Fiber Art And, stresses: "Asking the artist to intervene with an imagery linked to fibres means releasing the expressive and communicative potential of the raw material which in the hands of the artist become visionary and in the hands of fashion become wearable". Gabriella Anedi adds: "Fiber Art, that is, textile art linked to the manipulation of flexible natural or artificial materials, makes it possible to invent new visions that are abstract from the point of view of image but concrete from the point of view of emotions and activity, and thus to convey the metaphorical expressive potential of a raw material that is often confined to the field of craftsmanship".
La Tenda Milano, a crossroads of tradition and innovation, will host this unique collaboration. The boutique, guardian of an ancient family heritage, is transformed into a space where art, history and fashion come together harmoniously. Every choice, every garment becomes a piece of history, to be treasured in the heart and in the wardrobe.
The Spring Summer 24 collection of gentryportofino, conceived with an eye on minimalism and sophistication, intertwines perfectly with Gloria Campriani's artistic expression. The combination of linen and technical cotton, organic fabrics and the iconic pleated technique creates a unique visual and sensory dialogue.
Gloria Campriani, who was born in Certaldo (FI) and grew up in the family textile business, has shaped her artistic expression through experiments with various materials, but especially with fibres. Her connection with history, environments and emotions emerges in works that reinterpret fragments of the past. Under the curatorship of Gabriella Anedi of Fiber Art And, a space dedicated to the research and promotion of textile art, Gloria Campriani finds an ideal stage for her innovative art.
The climax of 'Materiche Armonie' will be the performance on 15 April 2024 from 6 p.m. during which Gloria Campriani will complete the work, accompanied by the masterful live music of flutist Paolo Zampini.

The symbolic language associated with thread is a constant source of research for Gloria Campriani, who spins it to shape her thoughts: the interpretation of a weave of social relationships. A social fabric made up of interwoven bonds. Her research is often based on the interaction between individuals and groups, through investigations in the field of social psychology. Gloria Campriani does not use any technical tools except the use of her hands to weave.
